With the tipi on site for the month, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try a food event at the farm. Top local chef, Daniel Britten, was keen to try something in our hangar too, and with outdoor dining in groups of 6 allowed from 12th April, we had one weekend where we could make this a reality.
A couple of WhatsApps, one zoom call and some frantic YouTube lessons on how to build a booking page on the website later, and the idea became a reality.
With space for up to 8 tables of 6 in the tipi, and limited electrical facilities in the hangar, a small and intimate fine dining feast was lined up, all cooked over open fire.
The food was spectacular, with the rib of Dexter beef a magnificent centrepiece to an incredible meal. Dan was joined by top barbecue chefs from as far away as Barbecue 13 in Exmouth, and the Burnt Lemon Chefs from Northampton.
The tipi is coming down on April 25th, but don't worry, plans for the next dining events are already underway and we should have more to share soon, so keep an eye on our social media and website for the info.
