Our unique location, in the middle of nowhere and the middle of everywhere, is a dream for anyone looking for a nice place to glamp or camp just half an hour from Waterloo. At just 21km from Charing Cross, we think we might be the only independent glamping site within the Greater London Boundary.
We dipped our toe into the water last year, not sure if people would like to come nor would they enjoy it when they were here. It turned out that they did want to come, and everyone who did absolutely loved it!
So for 2021 we've had to take things up a notch or two. We are starting the summer with 3 luxuriously appointed 5 metre Bell Tents. Each comes with it's own plush double bed (inc linen and towels), a Weber Kettle BBQ, a firepit welded from our own farm machinery and the delightful aromas of St Eval's Bay & Rosemary diffusers. Rather than importing expensive and small toilet and shower units, we have built our own which means they are really spacious! We have two gas powered hot showers with epic views over to Ashtead Common and two compost loos, with more to come later in the year.
Whilst you are here, you have full access to the Rockhill Brothers from 9-3 Wed-Sun who will knock you up the best coffee of your life, and a rotating array of top local street food vendors. Keep an eye on the website for the latest timetable, and please send through any requests in advance of your stay and we will see what we can do.
If you are feeling active, you will be spoilt for choice for things to do from here. On foot, there is great walking on Ashtead Common and the more adventurous can head all the way over towards Box Hill and the North Downs. You can enjoy a well earned beer in Dorking and grab the 465 bus back to the end of the road here too. On a bike, you can go from the farm all the way to the South Coast off road if that's your thing, or more locally the Surrey Hills has plenty of great roads and climbs to enjoy.
