From 29th August 2023, older diesel cars and very old petrol cars will need to pay £12.50 a day to drive north of Malden Rushett on the A243.
As a result, our campsite is now the nearest place to stay overnight without entering the ULEZ area.
It's easy to get into Central London from here, either via public transport or cycling - check out our recent blog post all about that here.
Due to licence restrictions, we don't have space for campervans or motorhomes at the campsite, but we can sometimes accommodate overnight parking subject to dates and availability, drop us an email to enquire if you are interested. Prices are in line with the BYO tents at £45/nt.
It's a shame that this broadly positive policy has been introduced as all stick and no carrot, and as one of the most isolated corners of London, many locals have no option but to drive at the moment. We would love to see it become safer to cycle north towards Kingston, and to have more frequent and reliable bus services towards London, as well as East-West linking us to Oxshott and Epsom.
