One of our most asked questions, so here are the best ways to get here!
As explained in a previous blog post, we have very limited parking here which we have to prioritise for pre & postnatal classes in the gym as well as guests using the campsite, and as a result, there is no public parking available at the farm day to day.
But don't worry, there's other options:
On foot. We're a lovely 25 minute walk (2km) from Ashtead over Ashtead Common (if you come the direct way) or around 35 minutes (2.8km) from Epsom.
By bike. All the routes from Ashtead and Epsom work on a bicycle too. We're also just off the popular Belgie gravel route which loops round Esher, Oxshott, Ashtead and Chessington, and you can nip down to the farm from there. The A243 isn't the best road to cycle down, but there is a (terrible) shared use path alongside the road which is suitable for kids to use if coming from Leatherhead direction.
Public Transport. The 465 bus runs down the A243 from Kingston to Dorking and stops right at the end of the road (Shy Horse). Chessington South and Ashtead train stations are each around half an hours walk to the farm.
From Bridleway 29 on Ashtead Common at Chessington View, you will see the signs for The Cafe and simply follow these down the hill to the farm!
We're proud to be in the green belt and want to make sure everything we do here is in keeping with the peaceful surroundings, and adding additional car parking would conflict with this.
We do want to remain as accessible as possible though for anyone with mobility problems. If this is you, and you would like to come for a coffee or some evening food, please email us 48 hours in advance and if the schedule for classes and other activity here allows, we will try to accommodate you if there is room.
